Continence
Incontinence is the involuntary loss of urine or faeces at an inappropriate time or place (the International Continence Society (ICS), 2005).
Incontinence is a significant health issue that has physical, social and economic implications for women and men of all ages as well as children, carers, families and the community. Over 3.8 million Australians have some degree of incontinence, with the prevalence of incontinence increasing with age in both males and females.
