APS 2-6 Recruitment Intake

APS recruitment applicants

The Department of Health and Ageing is undertaking a recruitment intake of staff at APS 2-6 levels commencing on 14 June 2012.

This process will fill permanent and temporary positions and will also establish a merit pool of talent that can be utilised by the department over the coming 12 months.

Positions available cover a wide range of roles in:

    • accounting and finance (including statistics and analysis)
    • corporate and administration
    • ICT
    • legal
    • service delivery (including program delivery and grants management)
    • strategic policy, research, project & programme management (including procurement and contract management)
    • communication.
Most jobs will be in Central Office, Canberra, though a limited number of jobs will be in Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania, Brisbane, Darwin, Perth and Adelaide.

Salary range of jobs are $46,466 (APS 2) to $82,352 (APS 6).

Verbal feedback is being provided to applicants upon request until 12 November 2012. The department cannot guarantee that feedback will be provided after this date.

Evaluation

The Department is undertaking an evaluation to ensure key learnings identified throughout the APS 2-6 Recruitment Intake process are captured.

The evaluation process will review all aspects of the Recruitment Intake and will include interviews, an online survey and workshops. Upon completion of the evaluation activities, an evaluation report will be developed which will outline key recommendations for future processes.
