From 1 July 2001 the Electronic Transaction Act 1999 applies to the Hearing Services Administration Act 1997. This means that the Department of Health and Ageing and the Office of Hearing Services has a requirement to accept electronic transactions from our stakeholders and members of the public.

The Office has introduced a number of initiatives to facilitate the implementation of the Electronic Transaction Act and will be working towards providing more transactions on line.
