Employment for Mature Age Workers Issues Paper
A discussion paper prepared for the National Strategy for an Ageing Australia which discusses the value of mature age workers and the potential for economic growth that can be produced by a larger cohort of mature age workers.
These publications are also available in several community languages
This paper raises for discussion the longer-term implications of Australia's ageing workforce for the social and economic opportunity of the nation. The objective is to contribute to the emerging understanding of the key role that mature age workers (defined as 45 years and older) can play in the workplace of the 21st century through highlighting the economic and social contribution of this cohort of workers.
