THE HEALTHY SCHOOL COMMUNITIES GRANT CLOSED ON 22 DECEMBER 2006

The Healthy School Communities team is continuing to accept Statutory Declaration forms from successful schools.

Under the Building a Healthy, Active Australia initiative, Australian primary and secondary schools were offered an opportunity to be involved in a grants program to promote healthy eating. The $15 million Healthy School Communities program invited a non-government organisation linked to the school (such as Parents and Citizens/ Friends Association, school auxiliaries or canteen groups) to apply for a grant of up to $1,500 (GST exclusive).

The conditions of grants specified that the funds would need to be acquitted through a Statutory Declaration. Information about this process is outlined below.
