The department promotes community awareness of key health and ageing issues and programs by undertaking advertising campaigns. The department also seeks the community’s views on health and ageing matters through market research activities.
The department is required to report on all payments over $11,200 (GST inclusive) to advertising agencies, market research organisations, polling organisations, media advertising organisations and direct mail organisations. Details of payments to these organisations in 2010-11 are set out below. Note that the department did not make any payments to polling organisations.
