¹ The Minister for Health and Ageing announced the establishment of a single national cancer control agency through the amalgamation of the National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre and Cancer Australia, the Government’s lead cancer agency, in June 2010. A transition period began at this time and from early 2011-12, the new Cancer Australia will benefi t all Australians who are affected by cancer, their families and carers.
