NEW The HTA Access Point has developed an Information Pack for applicants with co-dependent or hybrid technologies seeking reimbursement.
About Health Technology Assessment
The Australian Government assists Australians to access necessary health services by subsidising the cost of health related goods and services, including medical and surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, prostheses and medical devices, through different funding programs.

HTA Access Point
The HTA Review recommended the establishment of the HTA Access Point (Single Entry Point) to provide for better co-ordination and integration of Australian Government HTA processes.
On 27 February 2010, the Minister for Health and Ageing publicly released the Report of the Review of Health Technology Assessment in Australia (HTA Review). The report recommends key improvements to the way new health technologies, procedures and services are assessed for public and private funding.
