Cheaper medicines

There are now more ways to save on prescription medicines through the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS). From 1 January 2026, the PBS patient co-payment will be $25 for Medicare card holders, down from $31.60. If you have a concession card, the co-payment will continue to be $7.70 until 2030.
